The World's First Travelling Art Hotel Sets Sail at the Monaco Grand Prix
“The Floating Art Hotel is more than a hospitality experience: it is a cultural platform designed to bring together international artists, collectors, creatives, and cultural actors in a setting where meaningful exchange can happen organically. By connecting contemporary art with global events and destinations, the project aims to create lasting cultural dialogue that extends far beyond the Monaco Grand Prix.”

The Floating Art Hotel — a world-first concept in art and hospitality — makes its global debut during the Monaco Grand Prix, June 4 to 8, 2026. Conceived as a travelling private members' club at sea, the project reimagines a private superyacht as a temporary, museum-level exhibition, anchored in Monaco Bay facing the Monte-Carlo Casino, and moving across the world's most influential cultural destinations: Monaco, Miami, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi.
With only 14 private suites and a strictly curated guest list, theexperience brings together collectors, founders, and cultural figures in an environment designed for depth and discretion. From the moment guests board, everything is included: five-star hospitality, acurated wellness programme, exclusive Formula 1 access, and a full contemporary art programme unfolding across the yacht throughout the weekend.
At the heart of the Monaco edition is States of Motion, the inaugural exhibition developed specifically for the vessel, approaching motion not as image but as condition. The 350 m² sundeck transforms into a sculptural garden where works engage incontinuous dialogue with their surroundings. The programme spans sculpture, installation, photography, digital works, and live performances by over 30 international artists, including:
Agoria, Ahmet Güneştekin, Ana Maria Caballero, Bernard Venet, Eser Gunduz, Federica Belli, Georgia Kokott, Herve Lassince, J.M Othoniel, Jaime Hayon, Jeppe Hein, Jorge Parra, Julian Charriere, Keita Miyazaki, Marina Abramovic, Natalie Brehmer, Nika Neelova, Pier Paolo Calzolari, Rex Southwick, Ryan Koopmans, Shirin Neshat, Tomas Saraceno, among others.
Every guest receives access to The Floating Art Hotel's private Grand Prix terrace, perched atop Les Caravelles Building with direct sightlines onto the Sainte Dévote corner, while guests in the Owner's Residence gain exclusive Paddock Club and Pit Laneaccess on Saturday and Sunday. Private tenders operate day and night between the yacht and the city, ensuring seamless, crowd-free movement throughout.
"I spent years producing campaigns for some of the world's biggest brands, and I kept thinking: what if we applied this level of craft to something that actually brings people together? The Floating Art Hotel is that project. Art, sport, the sea — and the right people in the same room. The magic happens from there."
Stated Gaelle Jaunay Calendini – Founder The Floating Art Hotel.
The Monaco Grand Prix edition marks the first chapter of an on going global series. Future editions are planned for Miami, Hong Kong, and Abu Dhabi, each offering an entirely new curatorial vision and programme shaped by its destination.
